Curtis-
I miss you so much you have no idea what the family is going through. your time here with me was surely not long enough. i guess i should just look at the bright side and look at how lucky i was to have you for a brother.you told me this summer that you and me were going to work on some vehicles and you were going to teach me all you knew. i never imagined that this would happen. you were to young to die and i dont understand why god took you other than the saying that god only takes the best. i only wish that i could have you back but i know that if you could come back you wouldnt because you are in heaven now and there is no pain or suffering in heaven. well i got to go so i love you curtis and ill talk to you later.

Love,
your brother Dustin

Curt and I always called ourselves on-and-off friends. There would be one day that we would say that we were friends, and then maybe a few minutes later it would always be changed around that we were not friends anymore, but we always just joked around. Fourth period almost everyday, Curt would join our lunch table and pour ranch over everything to cover up the taste, and I have to admit that it was a good idea. I remember the last day that he was with us, he came to the lunch table and asked how the hot dogs were. I told him they were the usual, and he said that he was going to go and get some salad then. He came back with not one but two of the hot dogs and just a little salad on his plate, and sure enough he poured ranch all over the hot dogs. After we had out great looking lunch we walked down the hallway, and Curt comes up behind us rolling tape down the hallway towards us. So we bowled with tape down the hallway for a few minutes, and then he commented on my car. We went out to go and check out the car and I showed him my sunroof, and his reaction to it was "Hell No!". Then he just had to write on the hood of my car. He drew a very weird smiley face, but before he was finished we got in trouble like usual. The teacher asked us if we had anything better to do than scratch the car, and he pointed at me and told her that it was my car, funniest awkward moment ever! So after we got done with the car, I told him that I would see him later...and that is my promise. I realize now more than ever, that the last Friday that I saw him was special because i spent more time with him that day more than ever. Now I see that everything has a reason, no matter if you realize it sooner or later.

The first time I mes Curtis he was 10 yrs old. We played video games together. when I was getting ready to leave he went around the yard and picked me flowers. As long as I knew him he always had a smile on his face. We all are lucky to have met such a wonderful guy.

Curtis, remember the old dodge pickup that somehow ended up in the dug-out? That was a little questionable. We sure had alot of fun with you when that happened. Danie loved to say, see that Ford pulling out a Dodge. These good memories are all I have to hold onto now. I will always hold your love in my heart. I miss those beautiful sparkling brown eyes, the way they were always smiling.
